Ascend Technologies expands operations in Bangladesh

Ascend Technologies, a US-based IT company, headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, founded by Bangladeshi- American entrepreneur Kawser Jamal in 2003, has embarked on an expansion phase in Bangladesh from March 2021 with an aim to provide top-notch professional IT Technology-Consulting services. 

Ascend Global Technologies delivers hardware, infrastructure, and IT solutions and services to its customers in the USA and across the globe. The company’s offerings encompass a wide variety of services - ranging from hardware and infrastructure procurement to installation and managed IT solutions. 

Previously, the company has partnered with industry leaders such as  Microsoft, Oracle, Cisco, Palo Alto, VMWare, EMC, HP, Dell, Acer, Getac, and Microland to deliver solutions that focus on overall productivity and enhanced security of the IT landscape. Its flagship services encompass IT consulting, digital transformation, data science, cybersecurity, and IT-staff augmentation, and recruitment services. 

Besides Bangladesh, the company has active operations across the USA, Canada, Singapore, UAE, India, and Nepal.

Chowdhury Quaseed, who has joined Ascend Technologies as global director and regional manager for Asia, said that they want to revolutionise the country’s IT sector with their services. 

“We aim to provide top-notch IT solutions and services focusing on quality and delivery, cashing in on our 18-plus years’ deep industry-specific expertise, global network, and partnerships.”

Mr Quaseed has previously held several positions of leadership at Sea Consortium Pte Limited based in Singapore, KDS Accessories, Ananta Apparels, HSBC, BRAC Bank, TVML Group, and SAAD Group, among other notable names.

Speaking on the occasion,  Kawser Jamal, founder and global CEO of Ascend Technologies, said that Bangladesh, as one of Asia’s frontier markets, has plenty of potential for growth if technology is leveraged in the right way.

“We want to assist in materialising and accelerating the vision of Digital Bangladesh. By helping companies in the country to realise their vision of business transformation and innovation, we aim to contribute to improving the standards of the state of the art information technology in Bangladesh.”

The company’s new office has been established on the 4th floor of Awal Center, Kemal Ataturk Avenue, Banani, Dhaka.
