TikTok removed over 4.2m Bangladeshi videos in Q1 of 2023

Popular short video platform TikTok removed more than 4.2 million videos, which were uploaded from Bangladesh, in the first quarter (Q1) of 2023 for violating its community guidelines, according to local news outlets.

The latest Community Guidelines Enforcement Report of TikTok showed a total of 91,003,510 videos were removed from the platform globally during the period, from January to March, of this year.

In Bangladesh, a total of 4,236,493 videos were removed from the platform in Q1 of 2023 and 4,254,667 videos in the Q4 of 2022.

Meanwhile, the report said 16,947,484 accounts of users under the age of 13 years were removed globally during the first quarter.

During the period, as many as 51,298,135 accounts were found in the world as fake ones and these were also removed.
