Bangladesh 107/2, Tamim retired hurt

Bangladesh scored 107 runs for the loss of 2 wickets in 21 overs in the first match of their Group B Asia Cup 2018 encounter against Sri Lanka at Dubai on Saturday.

Earlier, after winning the toss and electing to bat first, Bangladesh got off to a nightmarish start losing the wickets of Liton Das and Shakib Al Hasan for just 1 run on the board in the very first over.

To add insult to injury, Tamim Iqbal retired hurt with a wrist injury scoring three runs.

After the initial hiccup, M Mithun and Mushfiqur Rahim stabilised the innings.

Mithun was unbeaten on 53 while Mushfiq scored 46 not out till the filing of this report.

Veteran fast bowler Lasith Malinga took both wickets for the Lankans for 8 runs.
