Bangladesh beat Cambodia 1-0 in international friendly

Bangladesh National Football team maintained their winning record against Cambodia, beating them by 1-0 goal in a FIFA International Friendly at the national stadium in Phnom Penh on Saturday, reports UNB.

Substitute mid-fielder Rabiul Hasan scored the match-winner in the 83rd minute by an accurate shot from goal mouth melee, utilising a meritorious left wing pass of another substitute booter Mahbubur Rahman Sufil.

Rabiul entered the field in the 65th minute replacing Biplu Ahmed while Sufil came to the field in the place of Nabib Newas Zibon in the 76th minute.

This was Bangladesh's third victory against Cambodia in four meetings. Cambodia hold 172nd position in FIFA ranking while Bangladesh are at 192.

Bangladesh, who played their first international match after five months in a relatively hot temperature of about 35 degrees, maintained their unbeaten run against Cambodia since 2006.

Bangladesh defeated Cambodia by 2-1 goals in the AFC Challenge Cup in 2006. The next year, they played to a 1-1 draw in the Nehru Cup Football in New Delhi. Bangladesh beat them in 2009 in the FIFA International Friendly.

Eleven U-23 players studded youthful Bangladesh team will return home on Monday (March 11).
