Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a cash reward of Tk 2 million (Tk 20 lakh) for the Bangladesh women’s national football team which won the SAFF Women’s Championship 2024.
In a media release run by the UNB news agency on Thursday, the BCB announced the award for the team which clinched the SAFF Women's crown for the 2nd consecutive time beating the 6th time finalists Nepal by 2-1 goal in the final in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
The team landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport around 2:15 pm, where BFF officials received the players with bouquets and heartfelt congratulations.
After clearing airport formalities, the celebrated team embarked on a jubilant procession to the BFF headquarters in Motijheel, travelling by open-roof bus along the elevated expressway while proudly displaying the SAFF trophy.
Sports Adviser Asif Mahmud and two BFF officials welcomed the team at BFF headquarters.
