Bangladesh conceded the first defeat in their 3rd match of the five-team Group B of the AFC Under-19 Championship Qualifiers losing to physically and technically superior Uzbekistan by 0-1 goal in a hard-fought-match at the Hisor Central Stadium in Dushanbe, Tajikistan on Monday.

Medio Kenjabaevislom scored the match-winner for Uzbekistan, reports UNB.

With the day's feat, Uzbekistan, which play in the U-20's World Cup almost on regular basis, comfortably dominated the group with all-win record collecting full nine points from three matches after beating the Maldives by 6-0 goals and crushing Sri Lanka by 10-0 goals.

In their last meeting in Dhaka in 2016, Uzbekistan beat Bangladesh by 4-0 goals.

After the day's maiden defeat, the final round berth of Bangladesh has now become uncertain as they were in the 3rd slot of the five-team fray securing four points from three matches beating the Maldives 1-0 with the last minute goal by Mahbubur Rahman following a goalless draw with stronger and hosts Tajikistan in the opener.
Tajikistan also bagged four points from two matches, but they were in the 2nd slot by virtue of better goal difference beating Sri Lanka 6-0 after making goalless draw with Bangladesh.
However, Bangladesh has the chance to reach the final round of the meet as if they become one of the best five runners-up of the 10 Asian groups.
For being the group runners-up, Uzbekistan will have to beat Tajikistan and Bangladesh to beat lowly Sri Lanka by a good margin in their last group engagements, both on Wednesday (Nov 8)
The ten group champion teams along with the five best runners-up of the 10 Asian groups will earn the rights play in the final round of the tournament.
