Bangladesh is set to host the upcoming International Cricket Council (ICC) board meeting in October for the first time, said BCB President Nazmul Hasan Papon.
The global cricket governing body will also hold its chairman election in the meeting, said the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) president, according to media reports.
“The next ICC board meeting will be held in Dhaka. The election is also supposed to be held there,” Papon said.
“It has been confirmed that the next ICC board meeting will be in Dhaka. Possibly, the election would take place here. I think there will be an election as the current chairman will have the last board meeting. We are expected to give our election mandate by this time,” Nazmul told reporters yesterday (Sunday).
However, Papon also said that after the announcement of the ICC election manifesto, he will decide whether he will be a candidate.
