An inspired India, led by skipper Rohit Sharma, have won the toss and opted to bat first against New Zealand in the first seminal of ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023 at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.

The beginning time of the match is 2:30 pm (Bangladesh time) on Wednesday.

The hosts of the tournament are the highest-ranked side in the ICC World Cup points table with 9 wins from their 9 matches so far.

New Zealand, on the other hand, are not the team to be distracted by the big names in India's playing XI and will look to stick to the style of cricket that has made the Kiwis one of the most successful sides in world cricket in recent times.
