Despite struggling to find runs in the last two matches, Pakistan scored an imposing 178 for 7 runs in the third T20 to throw whitewash-chasing Bangladesh into a challenging hunt.
The visitors got off to a flier, thanks to opener Sahibzada Farhan (63), who scored a 29-ball fifty at the Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium on Thursday, bdnews24.com reports.
Nasum Ahmed (2-22) grabbed the wicket of Farhan as the opener tried a slog sweep, holing out Mahedi Hasan. Farhan’s 41-ball knock was laced with 6 boundaries and 5 sixes.
Hasan Nawaz (33) scored a quickfire 33 off 17 balls to provide impetus midway through the innings. Shoriful Islam took him out with a slower one.
Towards the death, Mohammad Nawaz blasted 27 off 16 before Taskin Ahmed took him out. The pacer grabbed two more scalps in the last over.
Nasum bagged two wickets while Shoriful and Mohammad Saifuddin chipped in with one each.
