Bangladesh Under-19 youngsters produced a dominant all-round show to thump Zimbabwe by 91 runs in the third match of the tri-nation tournament.

Asked to bat first, the young Tigers racked up 274 runs, riding on opener Zawad Abrar’s prolific 82 from 63 deliveries, Md Abdullah’s 56 and Captain Azizul Hakim’s 34 at Harare on Monday, reports bdnews24.com.

Samiun Basir (3-14) then picked up three wickets, as Al Fahad (2-39) and Azizul (2-38) claimed braces to bundle Zimbabwe out for 183 for a convincing win and pick up two points.

The hosts got off to a decent start thanks to opener Nathaniel Hlabangana (53) and at one stage of the match, they went past 100 losing only 2 wickets.

But thanks to Fahad and Azizul, the visitors picked up wickets on a regular basis before Samiun cleaned up Zimbabwe’s tailenders.

This victory takes Bangladesh to the top of the table with two wins from two matches, followed by South Africa, who got one win from 2 matches.
