Gayle first cricketer to hit 800 sixes in T20s

Proving his mettle once again, big-hitting left-hander Chris Gayle slammed a 51-ball 126 in first eliminator of Bangladesh Premier League held at Sher-e- Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. Gayle brought his ton on just 45 balls.
The king of the shorter format has become the first player to hit 800 sixes in T20 format. Gayle is featuring for Rangpur Riders in fifth installment of BPL, reports Dunya News. His countryman Kieron Pollard was in second place with a humble 506 maximums next to him.
Gayle's stunning innings was the 19th time he has passed triple figures in T20 cricket, again putting himself miles ahead of the world with Michael Klinger, Brendon McCullum and Luke Wright tied for second place with seven centuries each.
