India’s scheduled tour of Bangladesh has been postponed, with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) confirming that the white-ball series will now be held in September 2026 instead of August 2025, Indian media outlet OneCricket reports.

In an official statement shared on its X (formerly Twitter) account, the BCCI said: “The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) and the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) have mutually agreed to defer the white-ball series — three ODIs and three Twenty20 Internationals — between Bangladesh and India in August 2025 to September 2026.”

The decision was made following consultations between the two cricket boards, taking into account the international calendar and scheduling convenience for both sides, the statement added.

Details of the revised fixtures and match dates will be announced at a later stage.

The six-match white-ball series was originally set to be played between August 17 and 31, 2025, following India’s home Test series against England. Dhaka’s Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium and Chattogram’s Bir Sreshtho Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium were designated as the host venues.

Under the initial schedule, Dhaka was to host two ODIs and as many T20Is, while Chattogram was to stage one ODI and one T20I.
