Nasir’s five wicket haul keep Sylhet’s hope afloat

Sylhet Sixers crushed Chittagong Vikings by 10 wickets in a must-win game to keep their hope of the last-four race alive in Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) T20 at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

Sylhet Sixers chased down a meagre target of 68 for no loss in 11.1 overs.

Mohammad Rizwan and Andre Fletcher shared the unbeaten innings scoring 36* and 32* runs respectively, as per a UNB report.

This is the highest margin victory by any team in BLP. The previous highest wickets margin victory of 9 wickets with 19 balls remaining was also recorded by Sylhet Sixers.

Sent into bat first, Chittagong Vikings were all out for BPL this edition's lowest, till date, score of 67 in 12 overs.

Sylhet Sixers skipper Nasir Hossain got five wickets and Nabil Samad bagged three wickets.

Nasir Hossain was adjudged man-of-the-match.

Sylhet Sixers last-four qualifications are now depending on another must-win games against Comilla Victorians and Rangpur Riders have to loss two games in the remaining league matches.
