Bangladesh have outclassed Pakistan with a commanding all-round performance to seal a clinical seven-wicket victory in the T20 series opener in Dhaka, led by Parvez Hossain Emon’s resolute 56 and Taskin Ahmed’s incisive bowling.

Opting to bowl first, Bangladesh restricted Pakistan to a measly 110, spearheaded by Taskin’s 3 for 22 and complemented by Mustafizur Rahman’s miserly 2 for only 6 runs in his quota of overs at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on Sunday.

In reply, the Tigers lost Tanzid Hasan (1), who had propelled the team to a rejuvenating win over Sri Lanka in the series decider last week, and skipper Litton Das (1) early.

Emon then dug deep and, paired with Towhid Hridoy (36), added 73 runs for the third wicket in a resolute display that virtually ended Pakistan’s hopes. Bangladesh coasted to the win with 27 balls remaining.
