S Africa crawl to 105/5

South Africa crawled to 105/5 in 26 overs after Faf du Plessis also joined the procession to the pavilion adding 38 to the score before the Proteas slipped to 87/4 in 22 overs after brief recovery in the World Cup’s 8th match at Southampton on Wednesday.

Earlier Indian bowler Bumrah sent back the S Africa openers cheaply as HM Amla departed on 6 and Quinton de Kock on 10.

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first.

This is, after all, the same ground where a whopping 734 runs were scored just over three weeks ago in the match between England and Pakistan.

India's bowlers have undoubtedly been helped by some variable (and sometimes alarming) bounce in the track. It's spinning, too.
