Scotland have set a target of 141 runs for Bangladesh to get off the mark in their first game in Group B.

After losing the toss and being put into bat first, Scotland did not have a decent start. Having lost their skipper Coetzer for nought, Scotland were 7-1 in three overs.

However, Munsey and Cross steadied the ship as Scotland managed to accumulate 39 runs in the powerplay. All the three seamers – Taskin, Mustafiz, and Saifuddin shared 2 overs each with the latter claiming the sole wicket.

Mahedi Hasan came into the attack in the eighth over and removed both the batters to get Bangladesh back on top.

His spin partner Shakib too chipped in with another couple in the eleventh over to have Scotland in all sorts of trouble at 52/5. With these two wickets, Shakib became the highest wicket-taker in T20 Internationals overtaking Lasith Malinga.

Scotland were reeling on 53/6 with Mahedi claiming his third in the game.

Chris Greaves and Mark Watt then fought back nicely with a 50-run stand in an attempt to post something for their bowlers to play with.

Taskin broke the partnership removing Watt for 22.

However, Chris Greaves continued in his merry way before getting dismissed to the Fizz in the final over. Mustafiz picked up another one to finish with two in his bag.

For Scotland, Chris Greaves has been a one-man-army with his 45 off 28 deliveries.

For Bangladesh, Mahedi Hasan has been the pick of the bowlers with a spell of 3/19 in his full quota of four overs.
