Nazmul Hossain Shanto may step down as captain of all three formats after the Test series against South Africa. Such news has come in the report of cricket-based website 'Cricbuzz'.
In February this year, the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announced Shanto as the captain of all three formats. Bangladesh team was supposed to play under his leadership in the Champions Trophy next year.
However, Shanto has already informed the board about his decision to leave the leadership. Shanto will officially leave the responsibility after BCB president Faruk Ahmed approves.
"Yes, he has informed us that he is not ready to captain after the South Africa series," a BCB official told Cricbuzz. ’
