Sinner backed to hit top gear in time for French Open after doping ban

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) on Saturday filed a corruption case against 23 individuals, including former Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury and his wife Rukmila Zaman, on charges of taking a loan with forged documents.

Md Mahfuz Iqbal, Deputy Director of the ACC, an anti-graft watchdog, filed the case under sections 409, 420, and 109 of the Penal Code, sections 4(2) and 4(3) of the Corruption Prevention Act, and section 5(2) of the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1947, BSS reports.

Apart from them, former United Commercial Bank (UCB) director Shah Alam, Bazal Ahmed Babul, Roksana Zaman Chowdhury, and Shawkat Zamil were also accused.

ACC Director General Akhter Hossain shared this information at a news briefing.
