Bangladesh register another defeat, their fourth in a row in this World Cup, as South Africa cruise past them convincingly.

With only 85 runs to chase, South Africa got home in 13.3 overs with 6 wickets in hand. The Proteas didn't start well as they lost 3 wickets for 33 runs at the end of the powerplay.

Taskin Ahmed made full use of the conditions available early on as he finished his 4 overs with figures of 2/18 within the first 8 overs.

As Taskin’s quota of 4 overs ended, the only bowler asking questions to the South African batters, South Africa increased their scoring rate.

Captain Temba Bavuma (31* from 28 balls) along with Rassie van der Dussen (22 from 26 balls) put together a match-winning partnership of 47 runs taking their team close to the finishing line. Bavuma and David Miller remained not out with Miller scoring 5 from 2 balls.

Earlier, electing to bowl first on a greenish pitch, the South African seamers put the Bangladesh batters under a huge test as team Bangladesh had no answer to the pace from Kagiso Rabada and Anrich Nortje.

Kagiso Rabada bowled 3 overs in the powerplay picking up 3 wickets for just 14 runs thus, dismantling the Bangladesh top order. With the pace from Rabada already proving to be a major problem for Bangladesh, Anrich Nortje made things harder.

Both Rabada and Nortje finished with 3 wickets with figures of 4-0-20-3 and 3.2-0-8-3 respectively. World number 1 T20I bowler Tabraiz Shamsi picked up 2 as well. Rabada was judged Player of the Match.

With this win, South Africa sit at the 2nd position with 6 points from 3 wins out of 4. Bangladesh still remain winless.
