Like the first one, the second game of the day was a one-sided one as well. Sri Lanka went home with an easy win of 7 wickets with 39 balls to spare.

The experience of the Lankans proved too heavy for the newcomers.

A shallow target of 97 couldn’t put the Lankans in any difficulties except the initial troubles. Sri Lanka were reduced to 26 for 3 on the fifth over which indicated that a low-scoring thriller could well happen.

However, a 71 runs partnership between Avishka Fernando and Bhanuka Rajapakshe saw them through without further damage. Ruben Trumpelmann, Peter Scholtz and Jorge Smit took 1 wicket each for the debutants.

Earlier Namibia were sent to bat first by Sri Lanka and couldn’t show any sort of fight throughout the innings.

Craig Williams (29 off 36) and Gerhard Erasmus (20 off 19) were the only innings worth mentioning. On the other hand, Sri Lankan Bowlers were quite accurate with the bowl. Maneesh Theeksana took 3 wickets for 25 runs. Hasaranga and Kumara took 2 wickets each.
