Tigers complete clean sweep against England in T20I series
Bangladesh have won the third and final game of three-match T20I series against England by 16 runs to complete a clean sweep against the visitors.
In the third match at Sher-e-Bangla Cricket Stadium in Mirpur on Tuesday, England won the toss and asked Bangladesh to bat first. The hosts scored 158 runs in all overs losing 2 wickets.
Bangladesh openers Litton (73) and Rony Talukdar (24) gave Bangladesh a breezy start before Nazmul Hossain Shanto lifted the hosts to 158 for 2, reports bdnews24.com.
In reply to 159-run target, England scored 142 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in stipulated 20 overs.
England’s Dawid Malan (53) and skipper Jos Buttler (40) took England to 100 for 1 before Bangladesh bowlers pulled things back with some accurate bowling and presence of mind in the field.
England lost first two matches of the series and failed to end the series on a high note.
