Bangladesh secured their semifinal spot in the Women's Asia Cup 2024 with a commanding 114-run win against Malaysia in the 11th match of Group B at the Rangiri Dambulla International Stadium in Dambulla, Srilanka on Wednesday.
The Tigresses achieved this victory through a dominant batting display and disciplined bowling attack.
Winning the toss and opting to bat, Murshida Khatun (80) and captain Nigar Sultana (62) led Bangladesh to score 191 runs for 2 wickets. In response, Malaysia could only post 77 for 8 wickets in 20 overs.
This is Bangladesh's second-highest score in international T20 cricket. Previously, in 2019, Bangladesh scored 255 runs against Maldives, losing 2 wickets.
