Bank Asia declares 15pc cash dividend for 2022

The board of directors of Bank Asia Ltd has recommended a 15 per cent cash dividend for the year that ended on December 31, 2022.

The final approval of the dividend will come during the annual general meeting (AGM) scheduled to be held on April 30 at 11:00 am in Dhaka through digital platforms.

The record date for entitlement of dividend is April 4.

The bank has also reported consolidated earnings per share (EPS) of Tk 2.62 for the year ended on December 31, 2022 as against Tk 2.34 in the previous year.

The consolidated net asset value (NAV) per share stood at Tk 24.41 for the year ended on December 31, 2022, as against Tk 23.33 in the previous year.

The consolidated net operating cash flow per share (NOCFPS) stood at Tk 13.82 for the year that ended on December 31, 2022, as against Tk 15.23 for the previous year.

The Bank Asia, which was listed on the Dhaka bourse in 2004, disbursed 15 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2021.

Each share of the bank closed at Tk 20.20 on Thursday at the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

The bank’s paid-up capital is Tk 11.65 billion and its authorised capital is Tk 15 billion, while the total number of securities is 1.16 billion.
