The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) was in a correction mood on Sunday morning as the major sectors performed mixed.
DSEX, the broad index of the Dhaka bourse, stood at 5371.21 points with a loss of 0.19 per cent or 10.30 points at 11.47am.
The shariah based index DSES declined by 0.31 per cent or 3.92 points to stand at 1239.62 points, while the DS30 went down by 0.04 per cent or 0.85 point to reach at 1895.21 points during the same time period.
Of the major sectors, engineering and fuel & power were in correction mood, while most of the banks went green.
Of total issues traded till then, 78 advanced, 150 declined, and 64 remained unchanged.
Turnover, the important indicator of the market, stood at Tk 1.87 billion on DSE when the report was filed.
Khulna Power Company was on top turnover chart with a value of Tk 136 million followed by VFS Tread Dyeing, Shahjalal Islami Bank, Legacy Footwear, and IFAD Autos.
