DSE sees sharp rise in early trading

The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed a sharp rise in the early trading on Sunday as most of the listed securities went green.

The market opened on a positive note as DSEX, the key index of country's prime bourse gained 46 points within six minutes.

Later, the DSEX lost some points but it managed to recover the loss after a while. 

After one hour of the session, the DSEX stood at 5627.73 points with a rise of 0.66 per cent or 37.26 points.

The shariah based index DSES rose 0.92 per cent or 11.75 points to close at 1283.09 points at 11:00am when the report was filed.

The blue chip index DS30 advanced 0.21 per cent or 4.25 points to stand at 1946.24 points also at 11:00am.

Of the total issues are being traded at the DSE trading floor, 247 advanced, 54 declined, and 29 remained unchanged.

The turnover value stood at above Tk 3.02 billion within one hour of the session.

JMI Syringes & Medical Devices was on top of the turnover chart with a value of Tk 114 million followed by BBS Cables, Dragon Sweater, and Spinning, Beximco, Paramount Textile, and Intech.
