The listed securities of IT sector witnessed highest correction on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) last week.
The sector having eight companies declined 4.8 per cent in last five sessions.
Some of the companies witnessed moderate losses while some others displayed volatility in the week.
Of the eight companies, the share price of six ones declined on Thursday while the price of remaining two companies marginally rose on the same day.
The share price of IT Consultants Limited declined 7.09 per cent in five sessions of last week. At the end of the week, the company's share price closed at Tk 41.9 each on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the company has informed that its board meeting will be held on October 25 to consider, among others, audited financial statements for the year ended on June 30, 2018.
The share price of aamra networks limited closed at Tk 71.40 each on Thursday with a loss of 0.69 per cent or Tk 0.50. In five sessions, the company's share price declined 2.59 per cent or Tk 1.90.
The share price of aamra technologies rose 9.0 per cent or Tk 2.5 in first two sessions of last week to close at Tk 30.70 on Monday last. Later on Thursday, the company's share price closed at Tk 29.20 each which was 0.69 per cent higher than the closing price of previous week.
Agni Systems witnessed volatility last week. At the end of the week, the company's share price closed at Tk 20.30 each. The closing price of previous week was Tk 20.20 each.
The share price of BDCOM Online closed at Tk 26.70 each on Thursday. The closing price of the previous week was Tk 27.10 each.
The share price of Daffodil Computers closed at Tk 37.30 each on Thursday. The company's share price declined 0.12 per cent or Tk 0.40 in five sessions of last week.
Intech witnessed a moderate correction last week. The company's share price declined 6.25 per cent or Tk 3.20 to close at Tk 47.10 each on Thursday. In five sessions of last week, the company's share price declined Tk 21 per cent or 12.30 on the DSE.
The share price of Information Services Network closed at Tk 25.30 each on Thursday. The closing price of previous week was Tk 29.20 each.
Recently, the company witnessed an 'abnormal' price hike from September 17 to October 2, 2018. In response to a DSE query dated September 24, 2018, the company informed that there was no undisclosed price sensitive information for recent unusual price hike and increase in volume of shares.
