Mercantile Bank AGM approves 15pc stock dividend

The 20th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Mercantile Bank Limited was held at FARS Hotel & Resorts in the capital today (Thursday).

A large number of shareholders approved Profit and Loss accounts, Balance Sheet as on December 31, 2018 and 15 per cent stock dividend in the AGM, according to a press statement.

A K M Shaheed Reza, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Mercantile Bank presided over the meeting while Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, Managing Director and CEO of the bank delivered his welcome speech.          

Bank’s Vice Chairmen Md Abdul Hannan and A S M Feroz Alam, Chairman of the Executive Committee Al-Haj Akram Hossain (Humayun), Chairman of the Risk Management Committee Dr Md Rahmat Ullah, Chairman of Mercantile Bank Foundation M Amanullah, Chairman of Mercantile Bank Securities Limited Mohd Selim and Directors- Morshed Alam MP, Shahidul Ahsan, Md Anwarul Haque, Al-Haj Mosharref Hossain and sponsor Md Nasiruddin Choudhury, Shareholder M A Khan Belal were present at the AGM.

The bank’s senior executives and officers also attended the meeting.
