MTB Foundation has recently entered into an agreement with ActionAid International Bangladesh Society for a project titled 'Community Strengthening Project for Indigenous Community in Bandarban'.
The collaborative effort aims to bring about positive transformation in the lives of marginalised indigenous communities residing in Naikhyongpara and Halirampara villages of Thanchi, Bandarban, said a press release.
As part of the partnership, MTB Foundation will finance the construction and repair of the gravity flow system at Naikhyongpara and Halirampara in Thanchi.
This method is expected to revolutionise access to clean and safe water and improve health and hygiene for the indigenous communities of the Bandarban Hill Tracts.
MTB Foundation will also provide support for the construction of sanitation facilities at Halirampara, Thanchi.
Through this project, MTB Foundation looks to support the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals.
The agreement was signed by Farah Kabir, executive director of ActionAid International Bangladesh Society, and Samia Chowdhury, chief executive officer of MTB Foundation.
