Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) will not accept any new initial public offering (IPO) proposal until it amends public issue rules.

The stock market regulator took the decision at a regular meeting on Tuesday, it said in a media release, reports bdnews24.com.

The BSEC said it had already moved to amend Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (Public Issue) Rules 2015.

The decision to not accept any new IPO is effective from Tuesday.

But the applications submitted until Monday will be processed in line with the law, according to the release.

The applications to raise capital submitted until Monday will be handled similarly.

The commission stopped accepting applications of non-listed companies seeking to raise capital on Tuesday.
