Square Pharma declares cash dividend

Square Pharmaceuticals PLC declared 110 per cent cash dividend to its Shareholders for the year ended 30 June, 2024 at its 58th Annual General Meeting held under the virtual platform on Wednesday the 18th December, 2024.

The AGM was presided over by Chairman of the company Mr Samuel S Chowdhury.  

Mrs Ratna Patra, Vice Chairman; Mr Tapan Chowdhury, Managing Director; Mr Kazi Iqbal Harun, Director; Mr Abul Kalam Azad, Independent Director; Mr Muhammadul Haque, Independent Director; Mr Md Kabir Reza, Head of A&F; Mr Md Zahangir Alam, Chief Financial Officer; and Mr Khandaker Habibuzzaman, Company Secretary, attended the meeting.

The Consolidated Net Turnover, Gross Profit, and Net Profit (After Tax) for the year ended 30 June, 2024 were Tk 70.10 billion, Tk. 33.07 billion and Tk 18.33 billion respectively. The Consolidated Net Turnover, Gross Profit and Net Profit rose to 15.47 per cent, 13.87 per cent and 11.53 per cent respectively during the year under review.

The company contributed an amount of Tk. 15.08 billion to the National Exchequer.

The Board of Directors appreciates the performance of the officers, staff and workers whose untiring efforts helped to optimize the profit of the Company. The Directors expressed their gratitude and acknowledged with keen interest the cooperation and unflinching support received from various agencies including the Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission, Stock Exchanges, National Board of Revenue and other agencies of the public and private sector.

Shareholders attended the AGM and many of them took part in the discussion regarding the company’s performance and future expansion. At the end Mr. Samuel S Chowdhury, Chairman expressed their deep appreciation to shareholders for their trust and support to the company’s performance.
