The investors have urged the regulator to take prompt action against the illegal stock market syndicates, allegedly stealing money by manipulating share prices.

The investors warned of tougher movement if action is not taken quickly, as per a local media report.

They also threatened to commit suicide in front of the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) if they could not stop the fall of the market.

The investors warned this at a human chain organised by the Bangladesh Capital Market Investors Association (BCIA) in front of DSE's Motijheel building on Tuesday.

They also expressed immense anger at the poor condition of the capital market, added the report.

The BCIA leaders claimed that there is a conspiracy behind the continuous fall in the market. Potential capital markets must be protected by unmasking conspirators, they said.
