More than eight months after the end of fiscal year 2017-18 (FY18), country’s stock market regulator is yet to release its annual report.
The latest annual report, available on the website of Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC), is the report for FY17.
Moreover, BSEC has discontinued publishing the annual report in English since FY14 and publishing it only in Bengali for the last three years since FY15.
Annual report of BSEC is considered an important document containing overall capital market situation including regulatory measures in a year.
Bangladesh Bank, the main regulator of the banking sector, also unveiled its annual report for FY18 in January this year.
