The port city bourse will arrange capacity building programme for stock brokers in January, 2019.

Under the programme, a delegation from Bangladesh will visit Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) and its some leading brokerage houses to gather practical knowledge on product features.

After the visit, the delegation will submit a report in collaboration with Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) on the development of Bangladesh capital market.

The members of the proposed delegation will be selected from the top performing brokerage houses of the CSE.

As per criteria, six top common brokerage houses having minimum total turnover worth Tk 7.0 billion from July 1 to December 31, 2018 will be included in the delegation.

Another four top single brokerage houses with minimum total turnover worth Tk 3.0 billion observed during same period will also be included in the delegation.

The brokerage houses will be ranked based on total turnover subject to qualifying turnover benchmark.

A CSE release said, Lanka Bangla Securities and Be Rich have already fulfilled the criteria to be the delegation member.

"Brac EPL Stock Brokerage and Kabir Securities are just about to go beyond the stipulated turnover benchmark for being eligible for the complimentary capacity building excursion," the CSE release said.
