Delta Life approves 25pc cash dividend

The 32nd annual general meeting (AGM) of Delta Life Insurance Company Limited on Thursday approved 25 per cent cash dividend for each share of Tk 10 each for the year 2017.

Chairman of the board of directors Monzurur Rahman presided over the meeting in the capital. The shareholders of the company also approved the annual accounts and balance sheet, according to a statement.

Welcoming the shareholders, the chairman gave a brief overview on the performance and achievement of the company during the year 2017.

"Our strategy is to provide quality insurance service to the people of Bangladesh, and the best investment returns to our policyholders and our shareholders too," he said.

The company earned a premium income of TK 6.25 billion, investment and other income of TK 3.45 billion in 2017. The life fund of the company stands at Tk 36.74 billion in 2017, he added.

Among others, directors of the company Aziz Ahmed FCA, CISA (USA), Zeyad Rahman, Kazi Fazlur Rahman, Mohammad Shams-Ul Islam, Saif Khondoker, Chief Executive Officer Adeeba Rahman ACII (UK), other senior executives and shareholders were present at the AGM.
