The Dhaka bourse opened the Sunday’s session positively riding on some major sectors including the engineering.
The DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), displayed a moderate rise.
After one hour of the session, the DSE broad index went up by 14.60 points or 0.25 per cent to reach at 5827.73 points.
The blue chip index DS30 and shariah based index DSES also rose marginally.
Of the total issues traded till 11:30am, 131 advanced, 88 declined, and 59 were unchanged on the premier bourse.
Turnover, the important indicator of the DSE, stood at Tk 1.31 billion when the report was filed.
After one hour of the session, some major sectors including bank witnessed a correction mood.
Subsequently, the DSEX failed to continue the upward trend that was observed at the beginning of the session.
