Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) Chairman Professor Dr Hafiz Md Hasan Babu, in a meeting with the the European Union (EU) delegation, sought cooperation for the development of the capital market on Wednesday.
At the same time, he also discussed issues such as product and technology development and attracting foreign investors to the market.
The meeting was held at the DSE Building in Dhaka's Nikunja, in the capital, UNB reports.
The EU delegation assured all kinds of cooperation for the development of the capital market in Bangladesh.
Delegation of the EU in Bangladesh Marga Peeters, Project Officer of Public Finance Management of Statistics and Economic Development, Macroeconomic Analysis, and Enrico Lorenzon, team leader and first secretary of inclusive governance, attended the meeting on behalf of the EU.
DSE member Md Shahidul Islam, Managing Director (Acting) Satvik Ahmed, Chief Financial Officer Khairul Basar, and senior officials of DSE, were present at the time, among others.
