The board of directors of Novartis (Bangladesh) Limited has approved 20 per cent cash dividend for the year ended on December 31, 2017.
The approval of the dividend came during the 45th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the leading multinational pharmaceutical, held at Le Meridien Dhaka on Saturday, according to a press statement received Monday.
Shah Md Aminul Haq, Chairman of Novartis (Bangladesh) Limited, presided over the meeting.
Dr Riad Mamun Prodhani, Managing Director, Sazzad Rahim Chowdhury, Finance Director and Company Secretary, Sheikh Nahar Mahmud, immediate past Managing Director of Novartis (Bangladesh) Limited and Lutfor Rahman, Director, Finance, Haiul Quaaium, Director, Commercial of Bangladesh Chemical Industries Corporation (BCIC) attended the AGM along with other high officials of both the organisations.
The Shareholders attending the meeting unanimously approved Financial Statements for the year 2017 along with Directors’ Report, Auditor’s Report and 20 per cent cash dividend.
The Board of Directors appreciated the performance of the employees whose persistent efforts helped the company maintain its quality leadership in Bangladesh.
The Directors also expressed their gratitude and acknowledged the support and cooperation received from its stakeholders including Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), National Board of Revenue and other agencies of the public and private sector.
