102nd birth anniversary of Mirza Mehdy Ispahani observed

The 102nd birth anniversary of the late Mirza Mehdy Ispahani, former Chairman of M. M. Ispahani Ltd. and founder of Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School, was observed with due respect and solemnity at the school auditorium in Pahartali, Chattogram.

Mirza Mehdy Ispahani was the son of the late Mirza Ahmed Ispahani and father of Mirza Salman Ispahani, a renowned industrialist, educationist, and the current Chairman of the Ispahani Group.

To mark the occasion, a complete recitation of the Holy Quran, a Milad, Doa Mahfil, and a commemorative discussion were held on Wednesday, according to a press statement.

Competitions in chess, drawing, essay writing, and handwriting were organized for students. Additionally, students of the Mirza Mehdy Ispahani House created and presented a special commemorative wall magazine in his honour.

Senior teacher Nreepesh Baran Sen, representing the Mirza Mehdy Ispahani House, delivered an insightful speech highlighting significant aspects of Mirza Mehdy Ispahani’s life and legacy. Students Ilham Noor, Sumaiya Muntaha, Faria Israt, Tanisha Mirza, Afseen Jahan, and Maimuna Islam also spoke about his inspirational contributions to society and education.

The programme was presided over by S. M. Mojibur Rahman, Headmaster of Mirza Ahmed Ispahani High School. In his speech, he encouraged students to follow the ideals and exemplary life of this distinguished figure. The event concluded with special prayers for the eternal peace of his departed soul and distribution of taborok among attendees.
