As many as 1,044 Bangladeshi companies have secured membership of Dubai Chamber of Commerce during the first half of 2023.
According to media reports, a total of 711 Bangladeshi firms joined the chamber during that period of last year.
With the 47 per cent a year-over-year increase, the number of Bangladeshi companies, registered as member of Dubai Chamber of Commerce, is 10,975.
Meanwhile, 6,717 companies from India, 3,395 from Pakistani, 2,154 from Egypt, 1,184 from Syria, 963 from UK, 664 from China, 639 from Jordan, 588 from Lebanon signed up for membership in H1 2023.
The UAE welcomed 60 companies as member of Dubai chamber in first half of 2023. The number of new members was 17 in the same period of past year.
Besides, 34 companies from Tanzania and 38 from Hungary also secured membership of Dubai chamber in first half of 2023
Mohammad Ali Rashed Lootah, President and CEO of Dubai Chambers, said, “The diversity of nationalities represented among the new companies joining the chamber reflects the vibrancy of Dubai’s dynamic business environment, together with the emirate’s strong ability to consistently attract a broad range of foreign direct investment.”
