The 10th Yarn, Fabrics & Accessories Show, organised by ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, begins today (Wednesday) at the ICCB in Dhaka.
The event will run until 14 December, featuring over 150 international suppliers showcasing a wide range of yarns, fabrics, and accessories under one roof, targeting buying offices, RMG exporters, and merchandisers, according to a press release.
The trade show aims to serve as a sourcing gateway for discovering the latest innovations and international suppliers.
According to Tipu Sultan Bhuiyan, Managing Director of ASK Trade & Exhibitions Pvt Ltd, the event plays a crucial role in sourcing materials for upcoming fashion seasons.
The show has garnered support from key industry associations, including the Bangladesh Garment Buying House Association (BGBA) and the Merchandising Brotherhood Association Bangladesh (MBABD).
The Bangladesh ready-made garment (RMG) sector, a global hub with over 4,000 factories, has recently rebounded following disruptions due to political unrest. Exports to new markets grew 10 per cent, reaching $7.7 billion in the July–April period of FY24. Local garment suppliers report that Western buyers are placing increased orders for autumn and winter collections as stability returns to major industrial hubs like Savar, Ashulia, and Gazipur.
The event is open to business visitors daily from 11am to 7pm.
