The 11th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Sonali Life Insurance Company Limited was successfully held on Sunday at the company’s conference room in Dhaka.
The meeting has been presided over by the company’s Chairman, Moinul Islam.
Independent Directors Kazi Moniruzzaman and Zafar Iqbal, Observer, Md. Shah Alam, Shareholder Directors Ms. Fazlutun Nesa and Mostafa Kamrus Sobhan, Representative Director of Rupali Insurance Co Ltd Ms Fawzia Kamrun Tania, Sponsor Director Sheikh Md Daniel, Managing Director and Acting CEO Md. Rafiqul Islam, Chief Financial Officer, Md. Abdul Hannan, Chief Operating Officer, Md. Manjur Morshed, along with other senior officials, speak.
A large number of respected shareholders have also joined the meeting.
The session has been conducted by the Company Secretary, Md Abdur Rob, according to a press release.
During the meeting, shareholders reviewed and unanimously approved several important agendas.
They have endorsed the audited financial statements of the company for the year ending on December 31, 2023, along with the Directors’ and Auditors’ reports.
The shareholders have also approved the declaration of a 10 per cent cash dividend for the financial year 2023.
The meeting has also confirmed the appointment of the company’s statutory auditor for the year 2024.
Furthermore, approval has also been given for the appointment of a compliance auditor for 2024 to ensure proper governance and transparency in the company’s operations.
