14th AGM of Primary Dealers Bangladesh held

The 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of ‘Primary Dealers Bangladesh Limited’ (PDBL) was held on Wednesday, May 9, 2024.

The meeting was chaired by Mr Md Afzal Karim, Managing Director and CEO of Sonali Bank PLC, and representatives from 20 member banks, including CEOs and MDs, senior management, and Treasury Heads, attended the meeting, according to a media release. 

The Board of Directors unanimously elected Mr Syed Mahbubur Rahman, Managing Director and CEO of Mutual Trust Bank PLC, and Mr Mohammad Jahangir, Managing Director and CEO of Rupali Bank PLC, as Chairman and Vice Chairman of PDBL, respectively.

Furthermore, Mr Ashim Kumar Saha, Deputy Managing Director and Head of Treasury of Mercantile Bank PLC, was re-elected as the convener of the Technical Committee, the release adds.
