A four-day international exposition titled ‘19th GARMENTECH Bangladesh 2020’ kicked off in the city on Wednesday.
A total of four international tradeshows with participation of nearly 450 companies from more than 24 countries have begun at International Convention Centre Bashundhara in Dhaka.
The event will showcase latest tech in apparel manufacturing technology, yarn and fabrics and garment accessories, packaging and printing technology under one-roof for the benefit of the country's RMG sector.
Zakaria Trade and Fair International, ASK Trade and Exhibitions Pvt Ltd and Bangladesh Garment Accessories and Packaging Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGAPMEA) have jointly organised the expo.
The four trade shows are-- International Apparel Machinery and Allied Products Tradeshow, 11th edition of International Yarn and Fabrics Sourcing Fair, 11th edition of GAP Expo-2020 International Garment Accessories, Packaging Show Concurrent with PACKTECH Bangladesh 2020 International Expo on Packaging and Corrugation Technology.
Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi inaugurated the event as the chief guest, while BGMEA President Dr Rubana Huq was present as the special guest.
