22 entities get ISO certification from BSTI

Some 22 business entities have received certifications from Bangladesh Standards and Testing Institution (BSTI) in recognition of their international standard management. 

BSTI Director General SM Ferdous Alam handed over the certifications to the representatives of the institutions at a ceremony held in the head office of BSTI at Tejgaon in the capital on Sunday, a statement said.

The first vice-president of the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) Md Amin Helaly along with representatives of the newly ISO certified institutions and senior officials of BSTI were present during the ceremony.

ISO 9001:2015 certification is provided for quality management systems. The companies who received the certifications include Loven Bioscience Beverage Limited, Sena Kalyan Electronics, JHM Agarwood, Naved Engineering Works, Alamgir Construction Limited, the Rani Re-Rolling Mills Limited, Fulkoli Bread and Biscuit Industries Limited, Basic Power Engineering, ABS cables, Life Med Polymer Technology Limited, N Mohammed Plastic Industries Limited, Herbs World Limited, Annex Limited, Apex Metal, Nita Company Limited, ABC Construction Chemical Limited.

Besides, ISO 14001:2015 certification for environment management was given to

JHM Agarwood, Peoria Food Products Ltd, ABS Cables and N Mohammad Plastic Industries Limited.

Vitalek Dairy and Food Industries, Nourish Foods Limited, Care Nutrition Limited, Prime Pusti Limited, and Javed Agro Food Processing Limited received ISO 22000:2018 certification on food management.

In addition, for occupational health and safety management, JHM Agarwood was awarded ISO 45001:2018 certification.
