35th AGM of Federal Insurance Company Limited held

The 35th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Federal Insurance Company Limited was held virtually on July 27 with the company’s chairman Enamul Huq in the chair, says a press release.

The AGM was attended, among others, by vice-chairman Ilias Siddiqui, executive committee chairman Md. Abdul Khalek, insurance claim committee chairman Sobirul Huq, audit committee chairman Safar Raj Hossain, nomination and remuneration committee chairman Mohammad Nazrul Islam, director Jainul Abedin Jamal, Begum Khadijatul Anwar, MP, Morshedul Shafi, Tahrir Nawaz, Toufiqul Islam Chowdhury, Touhidul Alam, Momtaz Begum, AKM Ziauddin Chowdhury, Hasina Banu, Abrarul Huq, FarazKarim Chowdhury and Zia Uddin, director Md. Rafiqul Islam and Mohammad Mahafujur Rahman, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director AMM Mohiuddin Chowdhury, and CFO Masud Hossain.

Many public shareholders gave their opinion online. The AGM approved the company’s annual audit report for 2022 and 10 per cent cash dividend.

Shareholders expressed their satisfaction with the performance of the company despite the post-Covid economic crisis and Russia-Ukraine war.

Faraz Karim Chowdhury was reelected director from public shareholders.

Senior executive vice chairman and company secretary Sheikh Mohammad Anwar Uddin moderated the meeting.
