The auction for issuing licence of the fourth generation (4G) mobile phone services in the country will be held on February 13.
Interested operators can submit their applications till January 14 next to have the licence.
Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) has invited applications to issue licence of the 4G spectrum.
BTRC Secretary Sarwar Alam said the proposals were sought following a decision made in a special meeting of the commission in on Monday.
He said the tender inviting offers for the licence for 4G mobile network in the country was published at the BTRC's official website.
The list of eligible operators will be published on January 25, the BTRC Secretary said.
"The names of the winners will be announced on February 14," he added
According to UNB, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina approved the revised guidelines for the 4G network on November 29, he said.
Sarwar said 22 of the 23 concerns raised by the country's mobile phone companies about the guidelines during a meeting with Prime Minister's ICT adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy were taken into consideration fully while the other was considered partially.
