60 women entrepreneurs in Jamalpur and Mymensingh complete BRAC Bank’s ‘Amrai TARA’ training

BRAC Bank, in collaboration with the Bangladesh Open-Source Network (BdOSN), has successfully organised two three-day training programmes under its flagship women entrepreneur initiative, ‘Amrai TARA’, in Jamalpur and Mymensingh.
Held from October 20–22, 2025, in Jamalpur and October 21–23, 2025, in Mymensingh, the programmes brought together 60 promising women entrepreneurs - 30 from each district - for intensive capacity-building sessions designed to strengthen their entrepreneurial journey, according to a media release.
The training focused on business management, digital skills, financial literacy, and market access, equipping participants to expand their enterprises and become role models for other aspiring women entrepreneurs in their communities.
Among the distinguished guests were Munir Hasan, President of Bangladesh Open Source Network (BdOSN); Md. Ikbal Hossain, Territory Manager (Jamalpur), Small Business, SME Division, BRAC Bank; and Md. Aftab Uddin, Territory Manager (Mymensingh), Small Business, SME Division, BRAC Bank.
Speaking about the initiative, Syed Abdul Momen, Additional Managing Director and Head of SME Banking at BRAC Bank, said, “At BRAC Bank, we believe empowering women entrepreneurs is key to building an inclusive and sustainable economy. ‘Amrai TARA’ is a platform that builds confidence, capability, and connection for women-led enterprises to thrive and lead.”
