A total of 62 companies will be awarded the National Export Trophy 2014-15 at a ceremony on July 11, according to the commerce ministry.
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will give away the awards to the companies for their outstanding contribution to the country's export earnings.
The award giving ceremony will be held at the Bangabandhu International Conference Centre (BICC) in the capital.
"The companies were selected on the basis of their export performance," a high official of the ministry told the FE.
Gold, silver and bronze trophies will be given to the business enterprises/establishments, he said.
The commerce ministry has already announced the names of award-winning companies under 28 categories through a gazette notification.
Of the 62 companies, 28 enterprises have been selected for gold trophy, 20 for silver trophy and 14 for bronze trophy for fiscal year 2014-15.
Zaber and Zubair Fabrics Limited won the gold trophy for the fourth consecutive year as the best exporter.
The total number of gold trophies would be 29 as Zaber and Zobaer Fabrics would get one more gold trophy as the highest export-earning company.
According to the gazette notification, gold trophy winners are Zaber and Zobaer Fabrics, AKM Knitwear, Fakir Knitwear, Kamal Yarns, Envoy Textile, Noman Teri Towel, Jalalabad Frozen Foods, Popular Jute Exchange, Akij Jute Mills, SAF Industries, Picard Bangladesh, Bay Footwear, Mansur General Trading Company, Pran Dairy, Rajdhani Enterprise, Karupanna Rangpur, Bengal Plastic, Shinepukur Ceramics, Uniglory Cycle Industries, BRB Cable Industries, BSRM Steels, Square Pharmaceuticals, Service Engine, Universal Jeans, RM Interlinings, Moon Trims and Gazi Enterprise and Fexinco.
The silver trophy winners are Rifat Garments, GMS Composite Knitting Industry, Badsha Textile, Paramount Textile, ACS Textile Bangladesh, Meenhar Sea Foods, Babul Jute Trading, Janata Jute Mills, Dhaka Hide and Skins, RMM Leather Industries, Footbed Footwear, Heritage Enterprise, Pran Agro, Capital Enterprise, Classical Handmade Products, Durable Plastic, Protik Ceramics, Incepta Pharmaceuticals, Pacific Jeans and Uniglory Paper and Packaging Ltd.
The bronze trophy winners are Ananta Apparels, Square Fashions, Sufia Cotton Mills, Hamza Textiles Ltd, Kuliarchar Sea Foods, The Golden Fiber Trade Centre, ABC Footwear, Akij Footwear, Mansur General Trading Co., Mymensingh Agro Limited, BD Creation, Beximco Pharmaceuticals, Vintage Denim Studio and Zaber and Zobaer Accessories Ltd.
