Agrani Bank launches ‘Agrani Remit App’ in Malaysia

Agrani Bank PLC has launched the ‘Agrani Remit App’ with the aim of enabling fast, easy, secure, and legal remittance transfers from Malaysia to Bangladesh.

Through this app, remittances can be sent to any branch of Agrani Bank, other banks in Bangladesh, as well as to bKash and Nagad, according to a media release.

The app was inaugurated on Tuesday (May 6) by His Excellency Md Shameem Ahsan, the High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia, under the initiative of Agrani Remittance House SDN BHD - a subsidiary company of Agrani Bank based in Malaysia.

Syed Abu Naser Bukhtear Ahmed, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Agrani Bank, and Md. Anwarul Islam, Chief Executive Officer, Agrani Bank PLC were present as special guests at the inaugural ceremony.

Mohammad Khorshed A Khastagir, Deputy High Commissioner of Bangladesh to Malaysia, Syed Shariful Islam, Counsellor (Labour), Mosammat Shahanara Monica, Minister (Labour), and Sultan Ahmed, CEO and Director of Agrani Remittance House SDN BHD, Tareq Uddin, Executive Director, dotlines, along with officials from both countries and members of the Bangladeshi expatriate community were also present.

The app is scheduled to be officially launched for valued customers in the first week of June.
