Akij Plastics Limited, a subsidiary of Akij Group, recently hosted a distributors' conference in Nepal, which brought together more than 700 delegates, including around 500 distributors along with sales and marketing professionals.
The Achievers Summit 2023 took place at Royal Grand Conference Hall of Yoke & Yati Hotel in Kathmandu on August 20. The event was part of a broader itinerary from August 18 to August 22, providing the participants with opportunities for networking and engagement.
Addressing the attendees as the chief guest, Akij Group Chairman Sheikh Nasir Uddin noted that products of Akij Plastics are gaining popularity in various global markets, including India, Saudi Arabia, Sudan, etc.
"In this fiscal year, 2023-24, our goal is to achieve US$ 10 million export target in the US and European markets," he added.
Akij Group CEO Sheikh Azraf Uddin emphasised the company's pursuit of international recognition.
He said, "Akij has not only established itself as a leading brand in Bangladesh's plastic industry, but also garnered demand on an international scale."
Significant participation of distributors in the programme from around the world underscored this progress, showcasing Akij Plastics' commitment to expanding its international presence.
The conference was marked by a grand welcome - orchestrated by Nepal Tourism Board and attended by prominent figures.
Akij Group Head of Marketing Tariq Raihan Mithu curated the programme, where Akij Plastics Head of Operations Minhaz Bin Mizan and Head of Sales Shahidul Islam, and Akij Pipes Head of Operations Paritosh Mitra and Head of Sales Fazlul Haque Mollah were present, among others.
